Francesca Campo
Event Planning, Consulting & Design
Newport is known around the globe for spectacular galas. The competition
among both corporations and nonprofits is fierce when it comes to
creating events that impress and accomplish a range of goals, from
raising funds to building clientele. With more than a decade of
experience, Francesca shines with a talent for merging organizational
and fundraising needs with her trademark creativity and first-rate
production and management.
Francesca’s events have not only been the talk of the town but have
attracted supporters, garnered media attention, and produced
record-breaking fundraising amounts for many clients, such as the
Newport Art Museum, Redwood Library, Aquidneck Land Trust, and Child &
Family Services.
The ability to visualize events of large scale is born of Francesca’s
artistic side, which was inspired by her mother, an artist, and a
childhood spent in Italy. But the ability to quickly assess a situation
and organize and plan for all factors needed to make the vision spring
to life comes from her father, an academic. The hallmark of a expert
event planner, Francesca is a pro at layering – adding the touches that
make a gala memorable and fun while never losing sight of the larger,
strategic execution that makes an event successful.
An effective communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills,
Francesca articulates the vision for an event in a clear, concise, and
logical way that everyone involved can understand. She controls all
aspects of an event from hiring and training staff to managing budgets.
As director of development for Child & Family Services and an event
director for Art Unfurled at Newport Art Museum before launching her own
business, Francesca knows Newport, its people, and how to move an event
from concept to execution. If partnerships can make her event stronger,
Francesca forges ties with others in the community, compelling them to
be part of something that is vibrant and exciting.
Prior to coming to Newport, Francesca was director of production and
operations in Boston for Rafanelli Events.
